Why I’m Leaving Society6: Find My Artwork on Redbubble

by | Jun 11, 2024 | How to Sell Your Art Online, New Work Updates

Hello lovely people,

I hope you’re all doing well and finding time to enjoy some creativity in your day! I wanted to share a bit of news with you regarding my artwork and where you can find it. As many of you know, I’ve been selling my digital art on Society6 since 2012. However, I’ve decided it’s time to make a change.

Recently, Society6 introduced a subscription tier for artists to sell more than 10 designs. While I understand the need for platforms to generate revenue, this new model doesn’t align with why many of us started using these platforms in the first place. As artists, we upload our work to platforms like Society6 to gain exposure and make sales without upfront costs. The new subscription model feels like a barrier to that original goal.

Looking back, my most active years on Society6 were between 2015 and 2017 when I uploaded a bunch of vibrant, digital tie-dye patterns. Despite this effort, my sales on Society6 have always been limited. And I also think the ease of using the platform has been one of my greatest challenges. I find it so much easier to upload work on Redbubble.

In contrast, my experience with Redbubble has been much more positive. I’ve gained more exposure and made significantly more sales on their platform. It’s been so encouraging to see my art appreciated and purchased by so many of you there!

With this in mind, I’ve decided to focus my efforts on Redbubble. I will leave two pieces of artwork on Society6, but I won’t be uploading any new designs there. My shop will remain up, but please know that it won’t be actively updated.

For those of you who enjoy my art, I invite you to visit my Redbubble shop. You’ll find a wide range of my designs available as art prints and on various products. From boho wall art to colorful digital tie-dye patterns, there’s something for everyone. I’ve started uploading my Mojave Desert Collection on Redbubble, and you can find it in the link above.

I was working on this collection last fall of 2023 and I’m so excited to share this work with everyone! I’ll be continually uploading a ton more pieces in this collection over in the next week. I have so many!!

Additionally, I’m excited to announce that I’m working on adding a Print-On-Demand (POD) shop on Etsy. This new shop will feature mainly Boho Wall Art inspired by my Mojave Desert Collection. Stay tuned for more updates and a sneak peek of what’s to come!

Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding. Your encouragement means the world to me, and I’m excited to continue sharing my artistic journey with you on Redbubble and soon on Etsy.

Warmest regards,

Diane Pascual
